I tend these days to not bother with interface version bumps when
working on recent interfaces that are not likely to be used by any CS
users. Should I?

No, I think it's fine to skip bumping if the interface in such
scenarios. Though versions of interfaces that went into a released
version are somewhat more critical IMO.

Anyway, just wanted to keep up interface version awareness :)
